Dusk Golem: The Horror Insider Who Hedges His Own Leaks

Dusk Golem: The Horror Insider Who Hedges His Own Leaks

One publisher. One series. One man in the trench with a flashlight, reporting back in a voice that always, always includes the words “grain of salt”. This is The Scene on Dusk Golem, the horror insider whose confidence comes in doses.

The Scene keeps score on the people who leak and report your games before the trailers drop, and now it is time for the opposite end of the ecosystem from the reporters. Dusk Golem, who posts as AestheticGamer, holds no press pass and works no newsroom. He is the Resident Evil community’s house insider, a specialist with one beat, Capcom horror, and a posting style so full of hedges, caveats and confidence levels that reading him feels like reading a weather forecast written by a man who has been rained on professionally. The debut of this section gave you the short version. Here is the full file.

The Latest: A DLC for a Game That Is Not Out Yet

His current storyline is the Resident Evil Veronica remake, and October 2026 gave it two new chapters, both from him alone.

On October 7, 2026, he posted an update on the remake’s timing: three people he trusts had told him the internal target had moved to fall 2027. He was careful, in the same post, to point out the obvious: the delay is internal. Capcom has never promised anything beyond the year 2027, so nothing public slipped, because nothing public was ever dated. That distinction matters and almost nobody else in his position bothers making it.

On October 10, 2026, he added the claim that got the headlines: he has heard of one story DLC for Resident Evil Requiem and one story DLC for the Veronica remake, both being built to run a few hours, in the alley of Separate Ways for the Resident Evil 4 remake and Shadow of Rose for Resident Evil Village. Coverage of his posts (TheGamer, October 11, 2026, and gagadget and The Geek Games, October 13, 2026) fills in the shape: a standalone story expansion of roughly five to six hours, possibly arriving in 2028, and reporting based on his posts ties the work to M-Two and K2, the studios behind Separate Ways, with the DLCs greenlit partly to fill the gap left by the lack of spin off side games. The original Code Veronica never had DLC at all, so there is no template to copy, which is exactly why the claim is interesting.

Status check, because this site labels everything: the Veronica story DLC is REPORTED, single source, his. Capcom has announced no DLC for the remake, no price, no date. The 2028 timing is his alone too. If it lands, it is a big receipt. If it evaporates, remember that you read the label here first.

The Veronica Timeline: One Man Moving a Date in Public

To judge the October posts, you need the whole Veronica file, because it is a perfect specimen of how he works.

The fixed point: Capcom announced the Resident Evil Veronica remake at Summer Game Fest in June 2026, with a 2027 window. That year is the only thing Capcom has ever CONFIRMED, along with the platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.

Everything more specific than that is Dusk Golem. In January 2026, months before the announcement, he had the remake aiming for early 2027. On September 21, 2026, he posted that three separate internal sources now pointed to fall 2027, because Capcom had widened the scope of the remake, and he pointed to the game’s absence from Tokyo Game Show 2026 as supporting evidence. His October 7 update then repeated the fall target with fresh sourcing. Notice the pattern across the year: early 2027, then fall 2027, each step explained, each step sourced to a number of people, each step hedged. He even told his own audience, in the September round, to take it with a grain of salt because he had not heard it directly himself.

That is either admirable honesty or a man building himself an exit ramp, and The Scene exists because both readings are always available with him. What is not available is corroboration: no other outlet and no Capcom statement backs the fall 2027 target. It sits on our Coming Soon board as REPORTED, single source, pending.

The Track Record: Real Hits, Real Asterisks

Specialists live or die inside their one trench, so let us score the trench.

His strongest recent receipt is Resident Evil Requiem. Per TheGamer’s coverage of his October posts, he had reported well ahead of time that Requiem began life as an online multiplayer game before pivoting into a traditional Resident Evil with an older, grizzled Leon Kennedy as a playable character, and that is what the game turned out to be. That is not a lucky guess about a date. That is deep production information, correct, early, on his exact beat. Outlets that cover Capcom describe a documented track record of accurate Resident Evil information built over years, and the Requiem call is why that description keeps surviving contact with reality.

Now the asterisks, in full, because he would want them listed and so do I. Notebookcheck, covering his latest claims, describes his overall record as somewhat mixed, and that is the fairest one line summary in print. TheGamer’s October coverage notes he gets a lot of flak from the community even while acknowledging how much he has gotten right. His style guarantees it: he posts a lot, he posts early, and he posts the uncertainty along with the claim, which means his misses and his mid course corrections are all on the public record, timestamped, forever. A quieter leaker with the same hit rate would look cleaner. He has chosen receipts over cosmetics, and the receipts include the dents.

Why the Hedging Is the Whole Point

Most insider accounts sell certainty. The product is the feeling that you know. Dusk Golem sells something rarer and less fun at parties: probability. Three sources. A grain of salt. Internal target, not a promise. Heard it, did not hear it directly. Every one of his posts carries its own confidence label, which means his audience can price the risk themselves instead of discovering it later.

That is also why his Veronica file will age well whatever happens. If the remake lands in fall 2027 with a big story DLC behind it, he called the shape of the whole thing a year out. If it lands in spring with no DLC, his own posts explain exactly which sourcing step failed. There is no version of the future where he has to delete his account and respawn under a new name, and in this economy, that durability is a strategy, not an accident.

My take: Dusk Golem is the only leaker I read with a pencil. Inside Resident Evil, his word moves my expectations, and Requiem earned him that. Outside Capcom horror, he is a tourist with a big account, and his own hedging tells you he knows it. The flak he catches is mostly the price of showing his work in a business built on pretending the work is magic. Somewhat mixed, says Notebookcheck. Fine. Mixed with receipts, dated and labeled, beats flawless and fictional every single day of the week. When Veronica’s real date finally comes out of Capcom’s mouth, this section will grade the whole file, his and ours. I suspect he would not have it any other way.
